Federal and State Tax Law
This practice area includes: United States (Department of Treasury, Internal Revenue Service) and State income tax, estate tax, sales tax, use tax, excise tax and tax controversy work before the U.S. Tax Court and all Federal and State Courts. In this area, we can assist you with tax planning, corporation and asset sales, preparation of contracts to minimize tax liabilities, etc.

Estate Planning
The process whereby you identify all of your assets and then prepare a plan to distribute your assets in a manner to minimize taxes, protect your assets, and provide for your spouse, children and charitable objectives, if any. Further, a proper estate plan should provide for the avoidance of probate and allow for timely distribution of your estate at death. Finally, a proper estate plan should provide for family planning to allow for asset protection of your children and heirs.

Wills and Trusts
This practice area includes the proper drafting and execution of Wills, Trusts and other documents which provide for the distribution of your assets. This area also includes, irrevocable life insurance trusts, gifts, charitable trusts, limited liability companies, etc. which may minimize your taxes and meet your personal objectives.

Probate
This area involves the proper probate of Last Will and Testaments, Small Estate Affidavits, where applicable, probate litigation, preparation of U.S. Estate Tax Returns, income tax returns and the distribution of estates to heirs, legatees and creditors, if any.

Business Law and Planning
This practice area includes the review and drafting of contracts, purchase and sales agreements, business succession plans, corporate reorganizations, tax deductions, tax credits and related matters for corporations, s-corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and sole proprietorships. Attorney Reid earned a Masters of Business degree (MBA), and is ready to assist you with both legal and business concerns.

Elder Law
This area of the law includes guardianships, trust administration, long term care and other decisions that elderly clients will face in the later stages of life.
